I seem to recall some urban myth about him sparking a huge guy (Welsh?) in a UK pub when he was posted in the army. I think it was in Wales but might be wrong. If he were in Wales, he would have had to have some Welsh to order a drink.

He said before 1970 so unless the answer is Ernie Terrell (which if it is that's my guess btw) then I think he's talking lineal heavyweight champions. I was racking my mind over this the other night.
