Default Two more boxing deaths, fellow Colombians William Morelo and Nicholas Cervera

    fucking bizarre

Both Colombians. Nicholas Cervera committed suicide Saturday, was 37, a record of 35-5-2. I remember him because he fought Jermain Taylor on Taylor's HBO debut when Taylor was 15-0 and was stopped in 4 rounds. He also fought Librado Andrade. He apparently was having marital problems.

William Morelo was 26 and shot to death yesterday in Colombia by gunmen who opened up fire as he walked out his boxing gym. He was chased down an alley and shot according to boxingscene. Was a welterweight with a record of 26-7 with 19 KO's. Fought guys like Isaac Hlatshwayo, Ivan Valle, Americo Santos, etc. Bit strange considering Miguel Acosta just became known to many boxing fans with his win Saturday over Urbano Antillo, Morelo was actually the last man to beat Acosta.

Hard to keep up sadly.Bad times catching up to the sports world.RIP guys.

Hate to drop another, but we lost a fighter in the ring over in Mississippi sat or sun night as well.Unable to check name from work.

Not being smart here but we should start a thread of the fallen,Sort of a place to have them and remember from time to time?It seems as if it has come to that.
