    Default Who will retire first?

Okay there are several dinosaurs (and one guy who can't decide what he wants to do half the time) still out there. Which of these guys will retire first.

Hopkins SHOULD retire first (retiring as a top 5 P4P is great going at his age) but I agree with Kingfrnk that Tarver will be first.

hopkins has kinda entered into semi retirement

if your inactive for a year and it isnt because of any injury you should really be seen as being out of the picture. I do think he`ll fight once more next year and call it a day then while jones/tarver will go chasing easy money and floyd will probably wanna step back up and dominate at 154 once he has got through marquez and pacquiao

Floyd will definitely retire last. Mainly because he is going broke, he owes the IRS back taxes and he continues to spend his money like a 5 year old kid.

And in the end, he will be broke.

Tarver will retire first, the main reason being he doesn't have any "names" left that he can beat.

yup, B-Hop still has options, winner of Johnson/Dawson II, Adamek, or even a rekindled Jones rematch

Jones, after beating Lacy has plenty of options as well, Green, Hopkins rematch, winner or certain losers of super six

    and Mayweather, no comment needed

Yea, but he might still retire from boxing first and get his money from the WWE.

BHop will retire and never fight again.

I would say Tarver, it looks like there is no demand for him nowhere plus he never has been one of the fan's darling.

What a great question, but it should be who will retire last? Add in Holyfield & even Glen Johnson & its still a close call!

I think Tarver hangs them up 1st though

I voted Tarver because I think he is more likely to lose 2,3 fights in a row which in turn will prompt him to hang them up.

I'm going to throw one out there by saying Pac retires first. Cotto takes him and he either fights on and gets another defeat or he just vanishes.

Wishful thinking on my part to be rid of the huggers once and for all.

Agreed. Tarver doesn't have a fanbase and got outclassed twice by Dawson. He looks old and lacks output and snap on his punches these days. He will be the first to go.

You could add Hatton to that list, got a feeling he may like promoting too much.
