Good fight but Mitchell should have been way past this stage by now. Pretty much been a wasted year for him.

What happened to the Martinez fight?

Agree with you guys.Thought Mitchell was past the domestic stage .He should take burns out around the 8th.He will still be high on the WBO rankings cause Frank Warren is his promoter.

I am a admirer of Kevin, exciting young fighter. He must have been injured for the time he has had off. Hope he does well. Shame I will not see him as I am not paying for Khan's fights.

Mitchell has been injured for sure. He has had an operation on his hands if i'm correct. Thats the reason for the layoff. I think he would surely be past this stage if no injury had occured. This will be a decent fight I think. I Like Mitchell, all action and have seen a few of his fights, not really seen enough of Burns to be givin an opinion though. he's got lots of tattoos, if that will mean anything. Its not really helped Collazo though.

Being from newcastle I'll probably go and see this.

I don't really want to pay money to see Amir Khan, but the Mitchell fight should be decent and at least I'll be able to see that I've seen a live world title fight in the flesh (even if it is Amir Khan with an Alphabet strap) as that's something I haven't done yet

Mitchell against Burns makes the PPV a lot more attractive, as I'm not a huge Khan fan either. Mitchell's injuries haven't exactly given him an easy ride this year, but I reckon Burns will give him a decent test, Burns' power has been improving, and it'll be a decent warm-up for Euro or WBO shot in early 2010.

kevin just seems to of gone backwards since debuting in the states

ok the boys had a few injurys, but he has already sufficently shown he is technically way past the likes of ricky burns!!
