Lightbulb Who will Khan fight next?

Having this discussion with a workmate. He seems positive Khan should fight Pacman/mayweather/Marquez. He really does think Khans that good.

Me, I think Khan should meet Hatton, before even thinking about fighting any of the above.

Who do you think Khan will next meet in the ring?

I want to see him in with someone who can punch. Nowhere near good enough for Pac/Mayweather yet, maybe Marquez at 140 but it would still be a big ask. I think he'll likely fight Malignaggi or Castillo next. Maybe they'll put him in with Maidana so we can see his chin tested to see if it has improved at all.

    Zab Judah.

And by the way tell your work mate that he shouldn't go on the piss up, when talking about boxing. We've had some bad cases of it here at Saddo's.

    I will do.

What's the bet Khan goes on to fight 10 more bums before he steps up to the mark?

I reckon he'll got for Paulie. He's coming off a good win and he represents little risk in terms of punching ability. He's marketable and the fight will probably sell well. Plenty of people on here have said that Paulie would be credible and that was before he beat Diaz. So i hope there's no back-tracking after the fight.

Failing that he should take Maidana really. He's the mandatory.

I'm not sure Warren will want to put him in with Maidana yet purely because he's a puncher. Having said that, Khan should be able to box his ears off.

Hatton has been inactive and was brutally koed in his last fight , what makes you think he is qualified to meet Khan next ?

If I was Khan I would want to take Prescott again and erase the demon so to speak. He said he wants him again so do it.

He didn't even break sweat against Salita and Prescott is one fight away from disappearing from the boxing landscape altogether - they should get it on asap in my opinion.

We all want to see him on with a world class puncher which he is going to have to do at some point. Prescott is nowhere near world class so whats he waiting for ?

I would go for Maidana, Judah or Prescott. I think Prescott would be a easy win for him at this stage, but wouldn't really do much other than semi-silence the haters.. but the other two would no doubt propel him up the rankings.

I think its the perfect fight for both of them.

Hatton is still held in high regard by the American boxing fraternity. He can still draw the big fights. Beating Khan would let everyone know he's still a force in world boxing.

Khan is the up and coming next world champion in waiting. What better why to announce your arrival to the Americans then beating Hatton.
