    Default last memorable heavyweight title fight

    after putting myself thru that dreadfull vitali defence @ weekend i was thinking the last memorable heavy title fight was lewis/vitali & that was 2003

    i cant think of any others

    Damn good point. Memorable? Yeah... I'd have to say that was the last one in MY recollection. Over six FRIGGING years!! Another sign of how far down the HW division has plunged.

    there are 2 fights out there in the heavys that i am interested in & everyone can guess them, vitali haye or wlad haye thats it

    You know, Haye gets a lot of flak here, but I can't help rooting for the guy to at least put on a good show. And I'm glad he talks trash. Anything to stir up this sh*tty division right now. I think Haye would have an uphill climb against either Klitschko, but he's fast, can punch, and... we know Wlad can be wobbled. I'm looking forward to those showdowns as well.

    i really wanted james toney to do well in the heavy division for exactly the same reason to stir up the shitty division as u say

    When was the last time a heavyweight title fight was also the Fight of the Year? Well that was 1996 (Vander-Tyson) which wasn'y a "great" fight but was a great upset. I hate to say it but it might have been the 1st Bowe-Holyfield fight. Lewis-Klitschko in 2003 wasn't bad.

    Yeah it's been a while that's for sure
