Default Timothy Bradley vs. Jaime Rangel

This was an 8 round fight a few years ago on shobox wihen Bradley was still a prospect coming up.

He looked pretty bad that night, and the veteran Rangel actually beat him 5 rounds to 3 but was robbed on the cards and the fight was given to Bradley.

I remember being pissed over the scoring, but this fight seemed to be a wake up call for Bradley because he turned it around and has worked harder and looked good every since.

    Anyone remember this fight ?

    YEAH!

That's the fight that was the reason I was so slow on the Bradley bandwagon and also the reason I say he's the most improved fighter in the sport. It was his first televised fight I believe and I thought he had a bit of a fabricated record. He fought Witter not to long later and I was impressed with his poise but couldn't shake the memories of the Rangel fight. I didn't think Rangel won though maybe I would have to rewatch it.

    Me too.

I believe it was the second time I had seen Bradley on TV though I could be wrong.

Watch it again man, Rangel def out worked and out slugged him.

Rangel was beating Augustus in a fight as well until Augustus sling shotted himself off the ropes and dropped Rangel in the 10th and last round on FNF.

And Pugilisitc I don't know where you could watch the fight other than youtube or trying to download it.

Like I say it was on Shobox if that helps at all.

Uhh maybe you haven't seen that fight in a while, because that is false. He had Rangel hurt the entire 10th round. Maybe you should watch it again..

No he's right about the Augustus fight, Augustus was clearly on the downside of his career and it was obvious in the first 5 or 6 rounds until Augustus turned it on late.

This fight is part of why I dislike Bradley, even though he's a very good fighter. I thought Rangel was up 5-3 at the time of the stoppage, but it was the bs scoring that had it like 7-1 or 6-2 to Bradley at the time. In fact, if they fight, Alexander should make sure they're not fighting in Cali.

yeah i remember that fight, that fight is the reason why ive never really been sold on him. But he has improved and is one or two wins away from p4p status.

He has looked great since then but that fight always remains in my mind how bad he looked, goes to show one bad performance doesn't make the fighter but it will always be on peoples minds cause it was his first real TV performance

Yep. Rangel had a lot of heart and some power, but no defense and a lot of losses too.

Anyone know whatever happened to Rangel ?

I hope he's not still boxing.
