Just finished watching the Khan Maidana fight, what a fight great fight just wanted to ask how people scored the fight,i only had Khan up by 1 point,if Maidana didnt get a point off witch was a bit harsh IMO i have the fight a draw.

    Round 1 Khan 10-8
    Round 2 Khan 10-9
    Round 3 Maidana 10-9
    Round 4 Draw 10-10
Round 5 Khan 10-8 cause of the point off for Maidana
    Round 6 Maidana 10-9
    Round 7 Maidana 10-9
    Round 8 Khan 10-9
    Round 9 Khan 10-9
Round 10 Maidana 10-8 Dont care what anyone says Khan got his ass handed to him very lucky to last the round.
    Round 11 Draw 10-10
    Round 12 Maidana 10-9

So had it Khan 114 Maidana 113

I didn't write it down, but I had Khan two up going into the 10th, in my mind he just had to win that round to be certain. Then it was a 10-8 round to Maidana!

By the end I was so tired, but I definatley had khan edging it by at least a round. I was probably too generous to Maidana in some of the close middle rounds too.

Jim Watt had Khan up by 6!!

I didn't bother to score the fight, but felt Maidana was trailing by a fair margin going into the championship rounds because of the early KD, bogus point deduction and being outworked in too many of the early rounds. I thought Maidana was coming on fairly strong from the second half onwards and won the championship rounds. The 10th was definitely a 10-8 and Khan would have gone had Cortez not kept trying to seperate them.

I need to watch the fight again and will likely try to put a score to it tomorrow. Khan was the winner and he showed a lot of heart in seeing it through, but I think both fighters deserve a lot of credit for giving us a really gripping fight.

I had Khan winning every single round apart from the 10th although I think a couple of the championship rounds might have been even.

The 10th was only a 10-9 round however as Khan heroically stayed on his feet in difficult circumstnaces.

The first round I gave to Khan 10-7 due to the knockdown and Maidana's bad sportsmanship in trying to sucker punch somebody touching gloves.

I gave Khan rounds 11 and 12 because Khan was very brave.

I had Khan winning by 3 (thats giving a 10-8 to Maidana in tenth)

If it went down the stretch I never for one minute thought it would be Khan who would struggle

I had it 8 rounds to 1 in favor of Khan after 9 rounds and gave Maidana the last 3 rounds.

I was sure Maidana won at least a couple of those early rounds. Definitely round 3. I'm downloading the fight now, I am curious to see if I see things differently.

I'm sure I gave Maidana enough rounds to still be in touching distance going into the final straight

Maidana won no more than 4 rounds in my eyes and that's being generous. And the punch stats would agree with me. Overall Khan connected at 273/603 at a 45% connect rate, Maidana at 156/767 at a 20% connect rate.

I am curious because I don't think I watched it from the most objective point of view. I was actually quite calm at the start and though the KD unnerved me, I thought 'just early days, stay calm'. However, by the time the point deduction came I was starting to rant at Cortez and then of course we had the 10th where I went mad and knocked over my chair. It was a good thing my wife had gone out as she wouldn't have been impressed by the language and the dramatics. I was jumping around and shouting at my monitor for fair parts of the fight.

I think I need to see it again without the additional stresses and strains.

I was half cut, but my overall impression was the Khan was comfortable on the cards and could afford to get on his bike for the Championship rounds. I probably wouldn't argue too much with Watt's card oddly enough. Was shocked when i heard the actual scores.

Maybe I should watch it again. It was about 5am by the time it was finished and I had been drinking and smoking quite a bit.
