    Default Is Arreola Learning?

Human beings get better at something the more we do it. Maybe Chris is learning

Cristobal Arreola to take on Kendrick Releford in quick turnaround - ESPN

He will headline FNF in two weeks!

Might as well, he barely got touched vs Aguilera.....It's good though because he will not be tempted from aextended break to eat those burritos and beer like he always says he loves. Releford is going to get taken out quick, its a pretty sure bet.

I think the dude deserves some credit, at least he's losing weight and trying to improve himself. Give him a "A" for effort.

I gotta say last week I was pretty darned skeptical of how he had lost the weight and whether a leopard could really change their spots at his age. But he obviously did drop the weight the right way and now he's doing another wise thing. You said it right.

His energy level was better, he jabbed his way in more often (but still not enough) and he did a decent job of cutting off the ring. The thing was every time Arreola hit this guy he stung him and there wasn't much coming back. So he never had to deviate much. He just marched through the guy.

And he STILL throws that right hand with his elbow way up in the air.

It is amazing to me that a guy can be considered a legitimate HW contender and he doesn't know how to throw a right hand. Or how to get inside, other than walking straight ahead. It seems like they taught him to throw a left hook and thought that should be enough. Really poor excuses for trainers.

Never rated him even tho he got a mean right hand but he so sluggish and still reckon Derek chisora would do a flawless victory on him

You would think he would get a different trainer, he even tried Ronnie Shields out, but went back to Riverside. It's odd.

time will tell. I mean look at the guy he was fighting. Chris would have beat this guy weighing 110 pounds or 280. Is his skill set that is lacking not his conditioning. The fights he won at any weight he would have. Just like th fights he lost at any weight he would have. I don't think he's learning, he just listening to all the crap he's gotten about his weight. And when he fights the top comp it won't make any difference.

Well losing some weight certainly wont do him any harm , his conditioning in the past has been terrible ,Arreola is a decent second tier heavyweight , but if he is matched right he can be exciting . HE comes across as a good guy so if it extends his career and he makes a few quid good luck to him .

I believe Arreola can win most fights in the heavyweight division outside of the top 3-4 guys.
