    Default Shogun vs Hendo

Shogun Rua Tabbed to Welcome Dan Henderson Back at UFC 139 | MMAWeekly.com

This is an intriguing matchup. Logic says that Shogun is too young and energetic for a 41 yr old Hendo but Dan's left and right hand can end a fight at anytime. Considering Shogun's inconsistency this could go a couple ways. The Shogun that just blitzed Forrest will probably be too much for Dan, but if Shogun doesn't show up ready to fight Dan could bust him up and blast him out.

    Belting card that mind !!

I know Dan has some TNT in those hands, but so does Shogun, I can see a KO comin in this fight.

Looking forward to this weekends action also, gotta go with Jones against Rampage. His alround game is much better, and unless Rampage can defend against Jones' kicks then he is in big trouble in little China ! Cos Quinton has no kicks, or doesnt utilise the kicks, this for me is where he will be beaten.

    From Dana's twitter
Vitor is injured and out of San Jose fight. Now Cung Le will fight Wandy!
The extent of Belfort’s injury was not announced.
Le will be making his UFC debut at the San Jose event. San Jose is his adopted hometown, and the location of all eight of his fights under the Strikeforce banner.
Le is the former Strikeforce middleweight champion, as well as an accomplished kickboxer, touting an undefeated record at 17-0. His only career loss was to Scott Smith at Strikeforce Evolution in December of 2009. He avenged that loss to Smith in most recent fight on June 2010,*
Silva last fought at UFC 132, losing to Chris Leben via TKO. Silva now sits at 2-4 since returning to the UFC just under four years ago.
The combined age for Le and Silva is 74, one of the oldest combined ages for a fight in UFC history.

I was really looking foward to Le vs Belfort REALLY! This fight is no where near as good and it does nothing for Cung Le in getting into title contention. Still really excited for his UFC debut.

Hendo vs Shogun I'm going with Hendo he has one of the best chins in the sport and crazy power with that he can beat anyone and although Shogun looked great last time around he isn't consistent and will get cought.

Yeah the Le Belfort fight had some real potential. I'm not really sure what a win over Wandy tells us about Cung at this point. Now a loss tells he needs to stick with the acting.

Belfort would have smashed Cung Le.

Le is lucky he's getting a shot Wanderlei instead.

Silva could surprise us all and beat Le.

Well going by Wanderlei's past performances, it wouldnt suprise me if he gets Ko'ed.

Problem with the Japanese fighters is none of them that have come over have really made a dent in the UFC fighters. Cung Le has the best record of them, and probably the best chance of doing anything, but time will tell with Le. Wanderlei is a good acid test for him though.

I've only seen Cung Le fight Frank Shamrock, but going by that he's stupid easy to hit I think Belfort would have killed him.

You are clearly an unbias Cung Le fan

As I recall Scott Smith knocked Cung Le out, and Vitor is just tad better striker than Smith.

I'm a Cung Le fan, yes. Scott Smith there first fight which he took on short notice? Thats why he gasses and lost if you want to see how that fight goes when Le has a proper training camp watch there second fight..

You don't go 17-0 in kickboxing if you have bad standup. Vitor had the right idea.

Both Shogun and Hendo are very good fighters... I think Hendo might pull this one out because Shogun did not look very impressive against Jon Jones.

Im having a bet with my gaffa on this weekends fights, we have picked the following fights to bet on:

    Shogun v Hendo - i've picked Shogun.

Cung Le v Silva - I wanted Cung Le, but conceeded it and now wanting Silva

Faber v Bowles - Faber my pick, he needs this to get back into contention

Kampmann v Story - gone for Kampmann, 50/50 fight, Kampmann needs to get back on to winning ways

Kingsbury v Bonner - Going for Kingsbury on this one

Bader v Brilz - managed to get Bader in this one

Some other good match up's on the card, looking forward to Miguel Torres matchup, and Matt Brown fight.
