A hopkins fight is more like a huging contest not a boxing match?

I can respect a man who speaks the truth regardless of whether it's politically correct or not..

Bando is spot on about the ghetto conman.

I admit, Nard was a different fighter back in the 90s ( He wasn't known to cure insomnias back then ) but most of his bouts in 2000s ( excluding Tito ) have been some bullshit scam though.. Ive never seen this man putting on a sustained boxing match.. ever.. It's always that bullshit " throw one punch and clinch " like a coward.. same thing over and over God i can't stand him ..

so i guess you didn't see the clinics he put on against Tarver, Pavlik, and Pascal (both times), i found all 4 fights to be plenty entertaining

and since when is Dawson an entertaining fighter? only damn fight he had that was worth a damn was his first fight against Johnson, if you're in a fight at 175 against Adamek and it was boring as fuck you know that Adamek isn't the one at fault...that's all i have to say about that

Against Tarver?? that's was hardly entertaining.. considering the fact that it was a hops fight though, it was just tolerable but not thrilling by no means.

Pavlik?? Hops is an opportunist and he knew pav was tailor made for him. Are you really excited by one-sided fights? IM sure not.. that was a sparring session, not an exciting boxing match..

Pascal?? ok i guess the first fight was mildly entertaining, just mildy especially for hops fight..

And i never said anything about Chad being an exciting fighter, dude. He's still better and more watchable than hops but that's not saying much.

When people think of Bernard Hopkins, EXCITEMENT isn't exactly the first thing that pops inside their heads.. Let's be real here. If you like him, fine, but dont try to make him out to be something that he is not.

Is he Foxy and Crafty?? Yes.. Is he dirty? YEs.. is he exciting?? NOT AT ALL..

you forget to mention that both Tarver and Pavlik were the favorites in each fight, as was Pascal, Dawson is the Wlad Klitschko of the LHW division when it comes to tempo of his fights (although nowhere as accomplished) only he doesn't get the KO, all he does is jab jab stare, and it's BOXING, not stand in front of each other and wail on each other, Hopkins is able to make EVERYONE fight at his pace then take them to school, Dawson was no different, he was brought down to fight at Hopkins pace and was just missing and bitching the 2 rounds that went on

At this stage most of Hopkins' appeal is that he is a 47 year old man competing with young prime boxers. It's not that his style is exciting because it isn't.

B Hop was in the fight but I had him losing the first round. I think Dawson was fully motivated to win the fight. B Hop would have landed some meaningful right hands over the course of the fight but would eventually have lost the decision. Dawson was desperate to win this fight.

I don't think anyone has ever accused Hopkins of being an exciting fighter.

With him it's the promotion and a guy who respects his body enough to keep it in prime working shape competing at the highest level at 47 years old.

Dawson is a stinker himself, a tactical fighter with 0 killer instinct and frequently loses focus. It's no secret that I'm a huge Floyd fan but he gets accused of the old reverse reverse. But he has a 2nd gear and a killer instinct and is all business unlike Dawson.

The guy is from my state and 15min away from my town in Hartford CT, but I cant route for a guy that is as passive as him . Against Pascal he had ample Opportunity to get Pascal out of there but he screwed about took his foot off the gas and gaffed a chance to KO Pascal in Canada raising his stock.. Instead a headbutt and loses his title

He has 1000000% himself to blame and he aint getting anymore exciting
