Boxing - Rahman camp demands that Povetkin makes mandatory defense

Hasim Rahman isnt too happy about this...

I think both are good fights for Povetkin. At this point in his career its obvious Povetkin doesn't want to fight either Klitschko now or maybe ever. I think Povetkin has reached his peak and this is as good as he'll ever be.

Huck and Rahman will be ok competition. Perhaps Rahman-Boswell will happen.

These are ok matches, I'd love for Povetkin to fight Arreola or Adamek, but he and Teddy aren't willing to risk it.

I dont think a Rahman showdown would do that much for him. Rahman weighed in over 20 stones last time he fought and hes clearly past his best. I dont think he deserves a showdown. Huck however is a young fighter who will come in shape and test Povetkin. I think if Povetkin can beat Huck that would be a good win for him compared to Rahman whos doing nothing for years.

Maybe I rated Boswell too highly, but I thought Povetkin looked the best he's looked in a while against him. In my opinion, Huck is the highest rated cruiserweight currently. It's not a bad fight. I doubt Povetkin is running from Arreola or Adamek. I believe both are good fights and winnable for Povetkin. He should take one of them on next.

Tough break for Amir Mansour. He probably ruined his only chance. He'll get out at age 40.

Mansour is the only reason why I started watching the HWs again but oh well. lol Time to tune out..

Yea man, it's over for him.. It sucks cuz he violated his parole for something so stupid too. He got caught living with a fellow Ex Con with weapons/drugs inside the house..

Now these ordinary guys like Seth Mitchell and Arreola have one less opponent to worry about.. sucks!

Oh no....whatever will we do without Amir Mansour?!?!

Joe 'The Future' Hanks....he gets the job done.

As for Povetkin, when will he step up his competition? Won't fight Wlad or Vitali, won't fight any top tier heavyweights and he's 32 or so....he's not going to set the division on fire ever.

Good fight. I think Huck wins. He seems to be the more confident fighter. Hope Huck has even better power at Heavy weight.

I kinda like huck's country boy style of fighting. He is not much of a thinker yet he is determined to get the job done. If he carries his power, everybody not named the klits better watch out.

Huck is doing it the right way, take on Pov, maybe even Adamek but leave the Klits alone.

That was not his intention. He called out the Klits a few months before this fight. That is the reason he has gone up to heavy weight.

I think he will find out that this is his level at best.
