    Default Ufc 144

So this show has a great group of past and current LW greats.

Its hard to bet against Edgar right now. He has shown all the attributes necessary the only question is his size. Bendo is a special fighter but I can't name a place where he has an advantage over Frankie. 3 rounds to 2 for the current champ.

Rampage should be able to take out Bader, but if he isn't motivated Bader could grind one out. I think Quinton will be fired up for a return to Japan and turns it on late for a 3rd KO.

Akiyama is tough but Shields hopefully has learned he isn't going to oustrike anyone. Expect Jake to go back to his wrestling, get the the take down and probably get a UD or late submission

I don't seen Boetch giving Okami too many problems. Hopefuly Yushin actually gets a finish bur more than likely a boring UD.

I'm not real savy on Hioki. So I'll go with Bart P.

Lauzon vs Pettis might steal the show for FoN. I'm leaning towards Lauzon winning with a TKO after barn burner of a fight.

Looking forward to watching both Gomi and the Kid

Yea looking forward to this fight card !

My bets for this card with my manager are:

    Edgar over Hendo,

    Jackson over Bader,

    Hunt over Kongo,

    Akiyama over Shields

    and Pettis over Lauzon

Didnt bother with the other fights

Agree with ya on the Pettis v Lauzon as potential FoTN, both have really good ground games, but for me Pettis shades the stand-up game.

I forgot the Kongo/Hunt fight...that is tough to call. Hunt has the tools and power to put Cheick away but I'm leaning towards Kongo staying on his toes and playing a smart but uneventful strategy while escaping with a close SD.

Good thing about this fight, is both can Bang !, it could be another Pat Barry v Kongo scenario. Kongo does have a good set of whiskers mind. To be fair I gave him Kongo cos I picked Rampage. All the same, this could be another belter!!
