    Default What were your scorecards

I had it 117-111. I gave Cotto rounds 3, 6, and 8. When I watched the fight last night I remember it being alot closer but after rewatching and scoring it this morning those were my scores.

Cotto showed incredible heart, he stuck to his game plan and gave his best effort.

I watched it at a bar and didn't keep score obviously, but definitely thought it was about even before rounds 9 or 10. The battle of attrition was going Floyds way from about the 4th or 5th imo and I didn't realistically think Cotto was going to win, but he was absolutely in the fight until the end. Ledermans card was perfectly fair I felt, it was the only thing about the broadcast that didn't stink. It was more a case that Floyd only won a few rounds very clearly, which surprised me.

Cotto was def. in until the end, his conditioning was great. He never looked like he was in any serious trouble until the uppercut in the 12th. Mayweather was able to connect more cleanly and avoiding serious damage with his defense and quickness. While it did seem alot more competitive by simply watching it, if you actually score it round by round it was a bit of a blowout in terms of rounds won.

    6 rounds a piece, draw.

Exact same. I thought it was closer last night but after watching it again on mute and scoring it for myself I gave Cotto 3 rounds.

Sometimes the excitement of the live fight, the cheers from fans that are at the event (which really have a terrible view of the action unless ringside) and your own hopes of how you want the fight to go cloud what is really happening.

Again Cotto did his best and he is a very classy dude, he gave Floyd his toughest challenge, but he got schooled by someone who is just on another level.

117-111: This was a clear cut win for Floyd, Cotto fought well, he did everything he could, but the result went as predicted. Floyd took a couple of rounds off and paced himself, but as you can clearly see in round 12 he could've stepped on the gas at any time and possibly finished Cotto if he wanted too. I actually got the impression he wanted Cotto to go the distance in round 12, Cotto was all over the place and Floyd got him to the finish line.
It was a good fight, a tough one for Floyd, but it was not close and not at any time was Floyd ever in trouble or the result in doubt.

I had it exactly the same, same score and same rounds, good scoring that man.

Im sorry to be controversial but anyone not having Mayweather winning this fight needs to readress their scoring credentials. You know the whole hit and dont get hit thing. Seriously.

I had it even, the only thing which may have swayed me is being in disbelief over Bob Sheridan's commentary

Just rewatched it (HBo version this time and as bad as their commentary was, it wasn't a patch on Boxnation..trust me!) - I scored it 117-112 for Floyd.
