Anyone see this one? Horrible stoppage. Mccloskey was hurt but seriously, what's with some of these early stoppages?

My first reaction was good stoppage, his legs had gone and he looked spent, but maybe he could have pulled through. id say good stoppage.
It was early but I think if the ref let it go on Corley would have put him to sleep.
In the end it was a good call looking at the way Corley was ready to jump on him and Mccloskey was hurt bad his whole body was shaking whilst he stood and in the post fight interview he was still dazed.
He Who Is Brave Is Free
Wisdom, compassion and courage are the three universally recognised moral qualities of men.
i didn't see the post fight interview , but still seemed early to me. Corley is a interesting fighter. If he had training camps , like the top fighters do , he could still beat some good fighters
I read about this one on boxingscene and the reporter seemed to believe it was a terrible stoppage and said McCloskey was still punching back at the time the ref jumped in.
Anyone got a video ?
I have to say I'm very happy for Corley. Such a tough guy, with deceptive punching power. He rocked the shit out of Miguel Cotto and Floyd Mayweather, hurt them both pretty bad. That was a looong time ago tho.
"You knocked him down...now how bout you try knockin me down ?"
I thought he was going to just give him an 8 count. He kind of stepped in because Mckloskey was taking a beating, then realised he wasn't as bad as he thought, but had already jumped between the fighters and didn't know what else to do.
Mckloskey didn't look anywhere near world class anyway.
