Default Fighters who left the game too soon

We often see and hear about fighter sticking around too long but are there any fighters for whatever reasons who left the game too early. It could be a great amateur prospect or someone who had an unexpected setback or anyone. Just curious.......oh yeah famous or not just give a lil background info.

Does Francisco Bojado still fight? He was supposed to be the next Oscar wasn't he? Didn't he quit early?

Yeah him and Ricardo Williams were going to take over the planet.

Although his resume is incredible I kind of feel Leonard wasted many of his best years in retirement.
Agree with the Naz thing but also think he mentally folded after Mab.
Tito did the same thing after Hopkins.

The number of fighters that left the game to soon because of untimely deaths is another matter.

Diego Corrales was done as a boxer when he died, I would have loved to see if he could have brought anything to 140. Corrales vs Hatton, vs Cotto, vs Morales, vs Gatti, vs anyone, the guy just couldn't be in a bad fight.

    David Reid due to injury

Andrew Golota retired for a bit which he needn't have done, Michael Moorer retired pretty quick.

Naz was finished when he had a bust up with Ingle.

Horace Notice was a better heavyweight than Gary Mason and Bruno but he had to retire because of an detached retina.

Naz would have beat Barrera if he was still with Brenden and had he took training more seriously he retired way to early he was a great character with awesome power

Naz left too soon. I wanted to see him get f*cked up by Barrera again, and then by JMM.

2 fighters come to mind. Ike Ibeabuchi and Harry Simon. Those cats were bad news in the ring. (outside also)

Sanchez may own that title fully, and it was our lose. Zack Padilla was a sensational all action fighter and top contender who was on the edge of stardom, only to see it ended while sparring with the now retired Mosley. With respect, maybe Hagler almost let his own pride whip his ass as bad as Leonard did not...think he had some left. Jemal Hinton was undefeated, on tv and of Kronk stardom with sure title looming but retired sighting "religion". Top champ 'Joltin Jeff' Chandler after lone loss?

Eh, Mayweather in a way. "Retiring" for 2 yrs after a career highlight win like Hatton ko still baffles and it killed prime greatness momentum. I think he'll still have a twing of "woulda, coulda, shoulda" once he retires.

Leotis Martin, he was the only dude to spark Sonny Liston out cold....too bad he got a detached retina and that was his last fight. He probably wouldn't have challenged anyone serious as his record shows he had already been stopped by Jimmy Ellis and out pointed by Bonavena. Still that KO was pretty damn solid.
