    Default Poor man's Punching Bag.

I've been scouring the internet for ways to make this. Basically the general I idea is: buy some sort of solid material then fill it up with play sand or some sort of sand. Well, I'd like a second opinion! As you may have already assumed, I can't afford a legit heavy bag right now, but I'm looking into alternatives. If any of you good folks here at Saddo have suggestions on how to make your own or have made one in the past, I'd be more than receptive to your knowledge. Thank you ahead of time!

They are not for belting the shit out of , they are for technique otherwise you will damage your wrists (with one bad shot) and get sloppy.

Yard sales you get them cheapest, ebay and pawn shops next.

Other than that a canvas ex army bag from the disposals and fill it your self maybe with cut up clothes the opportunity shop dont want any more.

Heaps of ways to make your own you'll see a few to the right of the utube vid, cheapest I seen there would have be a roll of old carpet from the back of a carpet shop dumpster (they always take the old ones away and dump them. taped it up with packing tape with rope down the middle of the hole through a hole in a circle of something down the bottom ,you just have to have the whole thing long enough so you dont kick that plate on the bottom or hit it.

Actually if you looped two very long ropes through the outer part of the carpet roll (maybe one or two layers in from the outer roll) so the loose ends went out the top the 2 loops running under the bottom would support the bottom of the roll, Tape it up Wrap it in glad wrap first, and you'd have four single pieces of rope coming out the top you could tie them off in one knot then hang it.

I thought of something else ,if you wrapped the carpet around an old 4" plastic pipe and sealed the bottom of the pipe, it would make it easier to roll the carpet around it adding the ropes would be easier too as it rolled you just lay them in and keep going.
With this you could add a small freezer bag of sand occasionally as you progress into the tube, so eventually you have a full tube of sand down the middle and a very heavy bag.
    Great for the progression.

Canvas bag, old army bag will work best.
    Gaffer tape.

Fill with old clothes, if you fill with sand, bag will be hard like a stone and you will mess up your hands.
    Like punching a huge rock.
