Default If Saul Alvarez win . . .?

Us as fans want the best fight possible. A fight that's close to being 50/50. If Saul win, who should he fight next? And should he fight his mandatory? He never fought a mandatory fight. The WBC has been protecting him, IMO.

If he wins, let's take a look at how it went, then we know more. I'd like to see Canelo in a truly difficult fight. I doubt this is the one but you never know. I like Lopez, he's a tough no nonsense fighter.

Yea, it's when. And the obvious fan friendly options will be against the winner of either Cotto-Trout or Lara-Vanes. Cotto and Lara are clear favorites there for me. His people need to at least attempt to make a fight like that next, otherwise he is just going to keep wasting time, as he isn't in a deep division. He's a pretty big guy as well, could easily move up to 160. I think Peter Quillin would be a good first opponent at that weight, and in a year or so he could aim for the winner of Martinez and Chavez jr.

Valero was way more interesting character. Would have liked to see these two go at it.

I hope Lopez wins and pulls off a miracle.

This fight is on live on Box Nation.

When Saul wins then he should line up a big fight with Cotto in 2013. That will be his acid test, like JCC Junior is against Martinez.

Lopez deserves this shot but I just don't see him being big enough. He will give it everything but will be broken down eventually, probably looking like he has been dragged down an alley and had his face stamped on because he doesn't seem the type to know when he's had enough.

If I'm wrong then nice one.

As for 'if' Alvarez wins? any legitimate light middle with plenty of ambition would do as his next opponent.

I am glad you mentioned that.Martinez v JCC Jnr appears to be on Primetime over here and after forking out for SKY and Boxnation I can't really justify Paying out for that too. Primetime sucks. I shall record Alvarez and watch that if it is on at stupid O Clock in the morning.

Too bad, he turned out to be a wife beating murderer, and suicidal to boot.
