Sad, but that is how travel is. You have convictions or drugs offenses on your record and you are blocked from a lot of places. Just because you are a name doesn't give you a free ride.

Haha, New Zealand is actually a very beautiful country with great people. I'm all for having a zero tolerance policy of letting convicted rapists travel anywhere(or breath in many cases), harmless as Tysons visit would've been of course.

The US visa restrictions seem much harsher. Murray was not allowed in because of an old assault conviction despite working with young offenders ( in an official certificated capacity) and clearly being a reformed character.

Tyson may be "reformed", but he was a pretty unsavory character back in the day, and not just because of the rape conviction. I'm all for giving everyone a second chance, and forgiving and forgetting, but it's understandable why some people still view Tyson with contempt.
