    That is fucking odd.

Welcome to Pallywood was one of the quotes in the video. Not wrong by the looks of it.

What kind of idiot decides to fake being shot? Where's the honour or pride?

    Are you being serious?

Israel has occupied Palestine. They have built settlements on half of the occupied land, they have stolen water resources, they have annexed Palestine into convenient little boxes. Palestine is not allowed to import any materials for development. All of this is illegal and condemned by the international community; except America.

What are you talking about? Israel exists and so?

The entire world supports a Palestine built on the 1967 borders. Well, the entire world except Israel and America.

Israel slaughters, builds on occupied land and recieves grants from America. So sayeth the UN.

The leading terrorist state supports another terrorist state. Ooh what a shocker.

    Desperate times = desperate measures.
Why is there no compassion towards any innocents who are caught up in it the ones who are damaged and cant drag themselves out in front of a camera?
Why take a side in it at all , or is it justification of a political alliance? Both sides use deplorable measures, its just one side has more technology and more cash and more freedom available to it, those things do not automatically make its acts holy and righteous either.

Your country is responsible for more terrorism than the rest of the world combined. You also subsidise number 2.

Israel protects its borders? The 1967 ones or the ones it occupies and builds on illegally?

    Don't defend the inexcusable.

If half of your house was being occupied and the authorities refused to evict them, wouldn't you try to do the job yourself? Palestine does not exist because of the United States and Israel. Give back the stolen lands, allow independence and access to water and farmlands and you will find a more stable region. Israel does not care for stability.

The Palestinians in Gaza have nothing, meanwhile the US gives massive funds to Israel. Funds that could give a lot of entitlements to those scrounging American people that Lyle loathes so much or even fund wells in poorer countries in Africa. Instead it is used to fund apartheid.

If you live in a settlement you are not an innocent. You are complicit. Likewise so is America with its UN veto and subsidisation of terror.

It's been over 12 years since I've read the Republic, Leviathan, and the 2nd Discourse and just got done reading all 3 in the past few days.

Aristotle, Plato, and Socrates would approve of the occupation. What is happening there is a form of justice. Hobbes would also believed the occupation to be necessary for the Jews, for it ensures their survival. And as Hobbes has defined, life is an inalienable right that no one can unjustly take from someone else and that even extreme measures have to be taken to ensure life is preserved. The only one that would disagreed would be Rousseau, probably blathering on the natural and moral inequalities that the Palestinians face from the superior Jews.

A whole new meaning to the battle for hearts and minds Faking casualties goes from setting ambush to calling in body counts. Wars are now fought as talking points and video clips. Both are not ignorant of this but at the same time it doesn't mean people are not actually being shot and maimed.

The entire world believes that the Palestinians have a right to self determination based on the 1967 borders. The view is almost universal. It doesn't really matter what Aristotle might believe on the issue. Aristotle was also a defender of slavery. Using violence as a means of resisting occupation is justified.

Israel routinely oppresses, tortures and victimises the Palestinians. It is only natural that the anger will sometimes spill over with rockets being launched.

25 Palestinians are killed for every one Israeli. It doesn't take bravery to shoot a man who is defending himself with a twig.

This is the important point. Hamas does not represent all Palestinians just as the hardline the Israelie Government has taken is not representative of the feelings of all Israelies. Just because some Arabic news media is happy to used faked propaganda this does not discredit the overwhelming statistical and independently verified evidence of widespread innocent civilian casualties gathered and presented by reputable agencies. The babies, children and women killed cannot be described as anything but innocent victims. It is also equally insensitive and duplicitous to use this tragedy as a point scoring exercise to further a political agenda in which the thousands of rockets fired, suicide bombs detonated and executions by terrorist factions carried out by Palestinians or their supporters are conveniently ignored in an effort to blame the USA and Britain.
