Apparently he's the one that demanded it, someone posted an article on here a while back that he wants to fight for a world title by his third fight. It is super ambitious and I'm not saying slow track the guy but I would have had him fight a six and eight rounder to get acclimated, then in the third fight a fight like this and a few more similar ones before going for a title just to get acclimated to the pro game...but I guess he figures his amateur experience and world series of boxing stint give him enough experience, will be cheering for the guy cause this is certainly a welcome surprise from the "feed me cans for five years whom ill learn nothing from" system that's prevalent these days.

This is intense, don't think I've seen Oquendo though. Do we know of any current pro's Lomachenko has fought? I don't follow the am's so wouldn't know what to make of anything but his overall record, which is mind blowing. In any case, this is a solid 23-2 opponent who has only lost at world class. Don't think I've ever seen a tougher debut on paper.
