Who is Rigos promoter? Santa Cruz seems like someone GB would want to let marinate a little bit, and I don't see how he wins but that's only based on 2 fights I think. Would be great if this, or any other decent fight were made for Rigo, he deserves it.

You know, it is a damn good match up, I have no idea if Rigo can keep Leo off of him for so many rounds, he does have great movement and my god his straights to the gut is vicious but Santa cruz just crowds you...

    I WANNA SEE THIS!111111redfsfsf31~!!~!!!

That's more or less why I can't see Cruz winning, assuming he isn't going to walk through everything I just don't think he has the depth to get to Rigo.

Abner Mares and Santa Cruz are both on the same card coming up, I'd think that's a more likely match up to be made assuming they both win. Neither have easy opponents mind you, although I haven't seen the guy Cruz is fighting.

This would be great to watch. Talk about a clash of styles. I get tired just watching Santa Cruz in action. Does any throw as man punches as he does in a round.

This is the kind of fight that Boxing fans live for. When two undefeated, peaking fighters with totally different styles collide, nothing could be more intriguing.

Rigo is great at what he does but so is Cruz. One's a master boxer who fights on his back foot and Cruz is one of the best pressure fighters out there. It all comes down to who can implement their styles better.

Like Walrus mentioned, it's a perfect contrast of styles.

I like this matchup - and I like Santa Cruz. I think that he's probably right.

Anytime a GB fighter calls out a TR fighter, or a TR fighter calls out a GB fighter, I'm cynical they actually want the fight because they know there is no chance in hell that the fight gets made. For example, Rios carried on how he would knock Matthysse out. All that is bombast because the fight ain't getting made.

To tell you the truth: I don't see anyone at 122 beating Rigo, including Santa Cruz or Mares, if he came down in weight. Rigo looks special. Santa Cruz is good. While we're at it, just to cause an uproar, Donaire knocks Santa Cruz out.

Of course, that's what I was wondering. Completely agree with this all.

Santa Cruz fought a mover a couple of fights back and looked ordinary against him. He doesn't cope well with guys who don't stand in front of him, at least at this stage of his career. He'd lose badly to Rigondeaux and it'd dent his confidence. No way GBP make the fight, they like Rigondeaux even less than Arum does.
