Hitler was raised catholic and condemned atheist movements by the Bolsheviks etc, it's debatable whether he was an atheist himself but that doesn't really matter. It has nothing to do with what he did or who he was, as goes for Stalin and Mao as well.

P4p, check into these things you say and you will be surprised how many of these are driven actually by land rather than beliefs. The majority of Middle Eastern issues are the cause of Churchill and Lawrence making countries borders arbitrarily. The Brits screwed all that up after the fall of the Ottoman empire. The Brits have a knack of screwing things up. The US is also guilty but England, back in the day, did a number on the Middle East. The Shiite and Sunni issues are prime examples of this. When arbitrarily making maps on the Middle East, the Brits took none of that into consideration.
