Lord knows he needs to start fighting more often and against that type of caliber opponent cause he's on the path of becoming the Cuban version of Joan Guzman with the having all the talent and not making the most of it by any means
Would be great to see this happen. Think Garcia wins but Gamboa is very dangerous, both would have to be up for this one.
Straight lines vs wide. Gamboa would be well suited to go back to that eratic seek and destroy sometimes get dropped ugly approach if he faces Garcia. Him trying to stand on the outside and "box" Garcia would end very badly for him I believe and a case where he may very well stay on the canvas this time.
Garcia is just so precise! I think against Gamboa it would be another clinic

Agree Gamboa can't box him or see this out technically in any way, he'd have to try and take him out. For some reason he's always struck me as the kind of guy who would rise to another level if he was really getting beat, he has freakish raw ability.
I think Gamboa was an outstanding talent but inactivity & outside the ring distractions may have taken a toll.
I don't think Garcia would be careless enough in a fight with the dangerous Gambao to get caught & hence my call for a clinic.
Garcia just seems like one of those guys who has it all!

Joan guzman was better imo.. years ago people were saying hed beat pacquaio during their time at 130 and I believe it.
Gamboa is too much flash with little substance. He's so fundamentally flawed but he's never fought anybody good enough to exploit him. He's yet to face an elite opposition..
The way he pulls straight back with his chin exposed is scary and his hands are always down . He's begging to get KO'D it's only a matter if time. Only very special talents like roy jones is able to get away with those mistakes but gamboa clearly isnt on that level or anywhere near it.. he thinks he is though..
Mikey garcia is his kryptonite.. he has the perfect style to expose gamboa..
