[I]Sergio Mora (25-3-2, 8 Kos) – Middleweight from East L.A recently signed with Lou DiBella, who also has Sergio Martinez. It’s a fight that can be made and don’t be too hasty to put money on the Argentine world champion. Martinez has never fought anyone quite as clever, fast or skillful as Mora.

    really??

this list is terrible. there are a few fighters i agree with and then there are fighters that arent as much avoided as they just arent that great. also, i havent even heard of all of these fighters which means that they probably arent being avoided, its just that nobody knows about them.

Most aren't so much avoided as "unwanted" (by fans as well as opponents).
Abril and Farrenas are certainly the "yeah...I don't want to fight them, even if I win I'll look bad" type of guys though

Good post. For months and months people would whine about the much avoided Zahir Raheem. The truth was that fighters weren't avoiding Raheem, TV networks were and for good reason. I think of the 10 worst bouts I've ever seen, Raheem competed in all of them :P

Anyways, this isn't an article but a list. It doesn't even give reasons. It lists Mike Perez but doesn't say why. How the hell is Mike Perez avoided? He was invisible! For a long time, he was partying in Ireland and took himself out. He was avoiding boxing, boxers weren't avoiding him. Yet all the article does is list him as avoided and points out he's from Cuba and trains in Big Bear. How is this even worth the server space.

The entire concept of avoided fighters is propaganda. It's a shame people bought into the lie. Just more power for promoters.

The author of that list must not follow boxing closely.

Franklin Lawrence has avoided others. He turned down a chance to fight Vyacheslav Glazkov on NBC Sports, and he's turned down fights with Malik Scott and Amir Mansour.
