I think Mayweather is doing a little damage control by insinuating that it was only a hard fight because he chose to not make it an easy fight and try to be exciting.

Maidana gave him some legit trouble in there.

Not a Floyd said thing with the low shots. He hit Floyd square in the dick a few times and a couple thigh shots/hip shots. I don't think anyone takes the shots too seriously although a few were very hard. I think mentioning them is gamesmanship. Everyone knew Maidana would make it a bit rough. He didn't get out of line with that. Only a couple really bad low shots, some rabbit punches, a little arm twisting and one full on tackle. Not so bad in a rough fightplan.

Note that he never gives his weight when it shows his advantage as with Marquez. That being said he overcame a hugh weight disadvantage.

That is true but that is huge from Chino, how can he make weight and then balloon up like that?
