Default Rigondeaux's next bout now confirmed for Japan

The official press conference was earlier today to announce that Rigdoneaux would be fighting Hisashi Amagasa

    Key details:
Fight to be in Osaka (not Tokyo as some reports originally said) at the Bodymaker.
The world titles WILL be on line with Amagasa dropping to 122lbs for first time.
The fight will be on TBS in Japan
The fight is part of a card with Kazuto Ioka's next bout

    Information thanks to:
Hisashi Amagasa Vs Guillermo Rigondeaux...now officially announced! - Asian Boxing

Seems they were leaving it late considering how close we are to the end of the year

Rigo had better get a high profile fight in 2015 Frampton or Quigg are worthy challengers as is Santa Cruz, but it's a lot more likely two of those guys will fight each other, and I really think Rigo is on another level getting shafted. He should move up to 126 and hope to land a big fight, Walters, Gonzales, Loma, Gradovich, those would all be awesome.

I have a feeling Rigo will struggle moving up in weight. I doubt he would weight much more then 126 - 130 in the ring while guys like Walters, Loma, Gonzalez will probably be closer to welter weight then lightweights. He shouldnt be looking to move anyhwere til he has a big fight at super bantom.

Could happen but I don't think so, it's not in Rigo's nature to take chances (unless he has no other options), as long as he is winning he will stay where he is. IMO

Here's the thing. If Rigo moves up to 126 and loses to Walters, he can move down to 122 and probably get bigger fights because right now Quigg, Frampton and Santa Cruz won't go anywhere near him. Santa Cruz won't even go anywhere near Quigg, let alone Rigo.
