Floyd is TBE in boxing entertainment, business and management AND he's an undeniable ATG fighter.
But we can agree not the best ever fighter.

So rather than give him any props in the Castillo rematch lets just slate of Kenny bayless and assume he is on Tmt payroll.

And let's not forget that no fighter wants to be undefeated but actually wants to loose in every fight.

I am so surprised at some of these comments!

I'm a big Whitaker guy but I have to say Floyd had a few extra gears that Pernell did not, and he had more tools in the tool box.

But does Floyd say he's the best boxer of all time or does he just say he's TBE?

Obviously the "TBE" slogan is a rouse designed to garner more publicity for him. It ensures his fights sell more and that people keep talking about him, arguing about him and keep clamoring to see his fights. He's TBE at this. It's undeniable.

Please someone tell me who was better at getting publicity, selling seats and PPVs, pure boxing skills, making money, making brilliant management decisions AND has lead the way in improving the sport(the way Floyd has lead the charge with PED testing).

    Who's better?

There is no one who is better. Floyd is undeniably TBE.

George st.pierre (ufc) also has loads of admiration for floyds stance on testing before fights and requests it on each of his fights.

Cant knock floyd for wanting to clean up the sport of boxing but yet many do.

If he had loss(es) I guess it would depend on who beat him and how.
Rather than claim he is undefeated, he'd claim he was robbed ala Bhop style & keep on fighting.

I think a loss would've required a rematch, to which he would've won-as did when his questionable victories were called into question

One thing for sure is that virtually all great fighters at some point got the benefit of the doubt.

Marciano was in a fight where his nose was near torn off. Any other fighter & it would've been stopped.

JCC got a gift draw vs Pernell.
Ali got gift wins like a kid gets gifts on Xmas.
Ray Leonard got a gift draw vs Hearns II..and stated he loss that fight hands down.
DLH got a gift win vs Quartey

Most big named fighters will always get the benefit of the doubt.
For the record, as close as the Castillo I fight was, I had Floyd winning 6-5-1, Floyd is undefeated.

I do agree when people say floyds 0 means a lot to him but no fighter wants to loose their 0.

Ask JC if he wanted to loose his 0.

If JC lost to robin Reid his career would have been completely different and he would have probably been even better knowing he wouldn't want to take another loss again.

Being undefeated is everything unless your not!

I had the Castillo 1 fight a 6-6 draw but could easily see it 7-5 either way. I think that's the only disputable decision on Floyd's record.

To go 18 years without a loss in unbelievable on the world stage, considering all the killers that are out there, and all the crazy shit that can happen in a fight (cuts, injuries, bad decisions, ect).

It's skill, but it's also luck. The judges could have easily given the fight to Castillo. The judges could have given the fight to De La Hoya or Maidana (not that I think they won, but worse scorecards have been given).

That's true too. Even Marciano got a gift vs Lastarza the first time, Joe Louis vs Walcott 1, ect. It happens.
