Default Floyd Mayweather vs. Antonio Margarito.

Who would have won at WW? I think Margarito would have been target practice for Floyd.

Marg had absolutely nothing to offer Floyd.

Marg had an iron chin, a big heart and heavy hands (later we found out why they were so heavy). He was a huge, long and strong WW and he would quickly wear guys down by putting hands on them.

But he was slow of hand, foot and mind, and there's no way he would have won a round against Mayweather. He had absolutely nothing to offer him. He never beat any great slickster or mover. He beat up guys that were there to be hit. Paul Williams even befuddled him big time with his movement and angles, and I love Paul Williams but he wasn't exactly a slickster.

ITs a tough call. Floyd would not stop marg, and marg will not stop coming. Does floyd hit hard enough to phase marg? Would floyds hands beak before round 6? Would floud be able to handle the mauling?

I agree floyd would tee off on marg, but how long can he run and punch before getting tired?

Tony Margarito would have walked straight through Mayweathers pitty pats & destroyed him
Floyd knew that So he took his long hiatus (fake retirement). Things were getting too hot for the Duckmaster.
.Still waiting for one of you Margarito haters to back up your loaded gloves claims. Neither POC Richardson or the Keystone Kops (CSAC) were able to either

You know Bob turned down the fight right "the money isn't there" then after Floyd paid Bob 750k to get out of his contract Bob offered the exact amount Floyd asked for to fight the cheat.(minus the 750k of course) I think you do know this and have no interest in representing the truth.

Yeah I keep waiting for evidence that proves Resto knew scum bag Lewis pulled material out of his gloves and yet Luis spent 3 years in jail and was banned for life. Hard to believe that nobody knew he was wearing 5 oz gloves.

    Sorry no sarcasm smiley.

I bet they had to chip Margarito's hand wraps off after the Cotto fight with a hammer and chisel.

As far as the fight goes, not since 1971 would we have seen this outcomes equivalent when Nicolino Locche faced off against Antonio Cervantes for the 140 crown. In fact it would not just be that fights equivalent but its duplicate. Margarito would not have won a round and at that time Floyd could have fought 25 rounds off his back foot.

THis is why I'm a dick to you, just for the record Margarito would have gotten clowned and walked into thin air all night, it wouldn't have even been competitive.

Floyd is a slick fighter so he would be hitting Margarito at will but won't be able to knock him out. Possible scenario would be Margarito hitting hard on Floyd and knocking him out around 8 to 10th round. This could the reason why Floyd was known to have ducked Margarito...and it is a valid ground why the fight did not happen.

If De La Hoya or Mosley couldn't knock Floyd out how the fuck was MArgarito going to, come on. It's also worth mentioning that FLoyd would have probably made sure Margaritos wraps were checked carefully. If you believe Margarito got away with at the least illegal wraps in the past, it's quite possible he would have had virtually NO power without them, and all of his fights after getting caught would basically suggest this is likely. He had terrible terrible punching form, it isn't unreasonable to think he cheated to generate a modicum of force on his shots, which his style would have been highly ineffective without.

No secret I dislike Floyd. But anybody who claims Margarito could snot out Floyd just to boost Pacs cred isn't actually doing Pac any favours, it just makes them look mildly retarded. Fact.

Floyd already beat the hardest hitting WW in Shane Moseley "After" he destroyed margarito.

Shane tried to ko floyd but what happened straight after that round.

    Adjustment and complete domination.

Yeah but you can say that about almost every Floyd opponent.

You could say that also about Baldomir, who Floyd absolutely could not hurt and never stopped coming forward, but never managed to win 30 seconds of the fight. You could also say that about Canelo Alvarez, who IMO is far superior to Margarito, another guy Floyd could not hurt and never stopped coming forward. Didn't do him much good, either.

You can't hurt what you can't hit, and I think the question of whether or not Floyd would get tired shows a tad bit of ignorance to what Floyd has done and can do. If it was easy as just walking forward and throwing punches, Floyd wouldn't be undefeated for 18 years.

Floyd was growing into the weight and was booed after running for 12 rounds against baldimor. Floyd got better of course.

Margarito was at his best and although he lost a close decision to Williams he came on strong in the second half of the fight.

It would have been more interesting than Floyd fighting Baldimor that is for certain.
