Hatton was a good fighter, he made for interesting matchups. I hate that he was not able to fight some of the guys at/near his weight in his era. I would have loved to see how he would have faired vs Gatti or Corrales or Cotto or JMM or Erik Morales or a number of other fighters.

Good fighter, really had a great fan base (though some of those were hooligan assholes). Also it's a shame he never fought Witter or Khan as those would have been big fights.

That brought back some great memories watching those clips of his fights, great to see Ricky looking well and laughing too, hope he's over his dark days now.

The guys a legend in the UK and the people love him, he admitted he hasn't spoken to Billy Graham in years now and misses him as he was more than just a trainer.

Would be great if those two paired up together again and helped the kids in Hattons stable, Ricky was close to tears when he was back tracking through his career at some points.

I personally don't remember ever being so excited about watching a UK fighter as i was when Hatton fought Mayweather, the build up and everything about that fight was pure box office and i truly believed he could win that.

Was interesting to hear how Mayweather pushed him way too hard prior to the Pac fight and he said in hindsight he needed a few days break from the grueling training he put him through but felt stupid asking.

Absolutely! Always coming forward, never forgetting the body, pressure from start to end, with that do or die attitude.
A master at fighting on the ropes and keeping keeping them on the ropes, with the occasional encouragement to stay there with an elbow or shoulder.
Hatton enjoyed his work and the fans.

I caught it on SKY Demand.

It was worth watching just to hear the story about Floyd offering his pilot any amount of money to overtake Hatton's jet

Ricky always came to fight, didn't take himself too seriously and had a great sense of humour. All that plus he became a successful and, most importantly, exciting world champion to boot. Wish him all the best in the future - a sensational individual.

A really honest (as he always is) insight into the man. Nobody from anywhere in the World will ever have the sort of fan base he had ever again. That's because he's a normal man off the street. He should be proud of that .
Also , in these days where everybody avoids everybody for whatever reason, he tested himself to see just where he was level wise . Unfortunately he found out big time, but that's no disgrace. The only slight niggle was things he said about the ref (Vs Mayweather) and his coach (Vs Pacquiao). Although he made it very clear he wasn't making excuses , maybe he shouldn't mention it because it sounds like he is making excuses (albeit interesting stuff, especially Mayweather snr. not being able to pad up Southpaw - mental note there.)T
This is a tiny criticism because overall he's brilliant. It's also a shame about his relationship with his Parents, but that's up to him, and he does look in a good place now.
Ask Yourself, who would you rather be? Someone with all the money in the World, but no real friends and Family, just an entourage that feed off you and when that's not there as much, who knows if they'll be there for you. or........................
Someone who is Comfortably off for the rest of his life , but loved by almost everyone that knows him and seen as a top bloke.
I know what I would prefer. Well done Ricky!
