    Default Garcia drops WBC belt

Danny Garcia Drops WBC Belt, Matthysse-Postol Ordered - Boxing News

At least now we can get the top 140 to fight at the actual 140 limit and for the belt. I also think Matthysse beats Postol in an exciting fight. Sound help the 140 division heat up again

Here again more evidence of just how flighty this Org is.This guy is allowed to fight two catchweights above the weight class against 1 no hoper trapping the title and prior steals a fight against Hererra but is rewarded by the Wbc for being unable to defend its title by being made Emeritus champion. Meaning he is recognized as the real champion and can come back and challenge the new champ at anytime for I believe up to 2 years. They just need to kick these belts to the curb. There is a ponzi scheme in these practices somewhere.

He signed an agreement to say he'd defend against Postol, so if you are going to take catchweight fights in the meantime, you should honour that agreement. What point or purpose did Danny have for holding onto the belt for an entire year? He's lost alot of respect in the last 12 months.

Matthysse vs. Postol should be a great fight, look forward to seeing it.

Good. Guess he grew tired of holding it up it car parades and strip joints cause he wasn't doing anything else with it. The guy has become a punch line to a tired joke. Postol is awkward ugly in style. Could cause Matthysse a few problems before its over depending on how good his chin is.

I don't believe Garcia is good for boxing.

He has been big for a long time and I have never had any interest in him whatsoever.

I he retired or was killed I probably wouldn't even notice he was gone.

So this is good news for me!

Garcia should have never taken that Herrera and Salka fights. That was just too much leisure time for a young champion who just got his hands on some extra dough.

Let's hope Garcia gets back in killer instinct mode, because I am more inclined to believe that after the Peterson fight, the WBC had a chat and they BOTH decided he should drop their belt. That was the right thing to do!
