Default Al Haymon caught sabotaging the competition.

Clever way to screw other promoters by booking venues months in advance then cancelling at the last minute. Apparently, he's in violation of a few laws here and none too friendly to the media.

Is he the saviour of boxing or the devil? Him not doing interviews add to the mystery of the man.

Right when i heard who wrote it i had thoughts of an agenda. Those thoughts were backed up by the piece. Al may have very well have done these things but when you consider this piece consider 2 things. 1)Who levied the complaint(GBP), do they have something to gain? And with GBP doing the most cards in California by far does California stand to gain by supporting GBP? 2) read the words the man uses to describe Haymons company "sink hole", is that a professional description or one that sounds like it has animosity behind it?

Didn't this man have a huge rant about not getting comped tickets to May/Pac?

If he is willing to forgo his deposit, then let him do what he has to do. Doubt this is illegal, as I can rent a space and pull out. Just won't get my deposit back, soooo....

And even so: How does he know a boxing event may be held by his competitors at certain venues?!?!

That's a lot of speculation and guessing there...

    Just sounds like good business.

Not that I rate the guy or anything but if your gonna aim high then domination requires some crippling.

Yep, it's just Golden Boy whinging. Promoters have done this and worse for decades. I wonder what Oscar would say if Haymon met Alvarez and offered him a suitcase full of money to sign with him, like Oscar did to Manny when he was still under contract to Top Rank.

When Oscar does lose Alvarez he'll basically be a west coast version of Lou De Bella.

He's not the first to do it, and he won't be the last.

To keep people up to date the CSAC is denying this ever happened and the man quoted Frierson is saying he was misquoted. They say there has been no investigation let alone no findings of illegalities.

But it's an old headline so nobody really cares anymore the job is done, the lie has spread. And now Bob has his hands in it, surprise surprise.(for anyone sarcasm challenged when a lie has been spread i am never surprised to see Bob Arum peak his head around the corner)

They're all dirt bags, but if we have to choose between dirt bags, isn't Al Haymon the best one to pick?

Guys like Arum and King ran boxing into the ground, Haymon is making dramatic moves to try to bring it back to it's glory years.

It also seems like fighters are getting a much larger % of the proceeds under Haymon then they have ever gotten.

    Fuck Arum, WAR HAYMON.

HAYMON WILL RESTORE BOXING TO IT'S FORMER GLORY!

    My sentiments exactly.
