I lost my by 1 point im not being bitter but I thought I did enough and minimum it was a draw. It was the best I've ever boxed by a mile. First round he outboxed me from being too quick and staying on the back foot and letting his hands go. The second round I won clearly, I was very aggressive and was in full control. Until I was the third round again IT was close but I thought I did enough, and so did a lot of people in the crowd and my corner. I would have take a draw on the chin but not a lose. He was a very good boxer though, and a really sound lad. I'm gutted because it was my best performance to date In the ring against a former pro who's had 300 fights.
After the first round he outboxed me clearly and my friend saw him having a laugh about it so ive heard but the second and third round I went for it. On the front foot and worked so well and thought I did enough for the win. I did myself proud though being very inexperienced compared to him and he knew he was in a real fight.
He was a sound sound lad though and we both gave each other good praise after, hopefully a rematch will come in the not too distance future. He's one of the best semi pro boxers in the country and for me to compete like I did has given me
So much confidence. I don't feel like a loser , ive learnt a hell out a lot from it. He officially one by 1 point , it won't be long till the YouTube video will be up and you will all see.
Back in the ring November 6th. I'm off to ibiza next week for 5 days, then Dublin for what was suppose to be lee-Saunders and then my 25th bday im seeing the Liam smith MEN card. So after that ive got a good 4 week camp and I'll be training in between as per usual.
Gutted about tonight though, but I've shown when I'm at 13 stone I can really mix it with the best in the country. I've got a tiny black eye but that's it. I'll get the video up asap
Couple of pictures from the fight
Well done, you did better I thought you would.
So it was worth boxing him than just a pub room brawler then? You were right about that.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
When I saw he had fought good ex-pro British champs I thought you was most likely going to get a hiding. Well done for holding your own.
3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.
