Truthfully, I had the fight close. One of the things that irritate me is when the crew behind the mic favor one fighter.
According to the commentators McDonnell was doing nothing while Kameda was doing everything right. According to the commentators the fight was over for McDonnell after the fourth round. Man!! They had me yelling at the TV.
I never pen and papered the scrap but I had it clearly for Jamie. Kameda had his moments early but you don't get points for coming forward. Nor are you awarded any for being under the Haymon banner. That's not true really cause in practice at times they do. On the books though it’s supposed to be effective aggression not ineffective.
I watched it on a lappy in a shop while I fixed/plugged a rear tire on my Jeep instead of paying one of the local charlatans 65 bucks. It was one of those fights where you never needed full attention because as I prepared for the task at hand and glanced at the screen it was more then clear who was winning and won the fight. Jamie.
I had a Brit str3am and cant remember the x boxers name that called it 119/108 but he must have sniffed glue before sitting in with the fellas. It was a clear win for Jamie but that card was out to lunch.
