Default Upsets in which you would have picked the Underdog if you were alive at that time

....or alive and wasn't a boxing fan during the event (you may have been a kid at the time).

For instance, would you have picked Cassius Clay over Sonny Liston?

    Bob Foster over Dick Tiger?

    etc...

Personally, I certainly would have had George Foreman over Joe Frazier. Maybe not in the same early KO fashion, but I definitely would have prognosticated an overpowering performance.

*It's easy to say "Of course you would have picked him because you already know the result! Just try to picture yourself at the time of the event and the two opposing fighters pedigrees and how they match up.

    BUMP!

Based on my respect for Jack Johnson, I would've sided with him in that Joe Louis would lose to Max. He pinpointed his weaknesses to evade certain shots, called him mechanical, I agree. While Joe was very stable on legs, not robotic, rather methodical and or predictable.

Knowing what I know now..hindsight is 20-20 yeh..I think I would have picked Tunney over Dempsey first time around. Not sure the odds but know Jack was favored. Tunney was a fine practical boxer, studied opponents and while he was shredded by Greb once and went close after just think he had the craft going in. And sure long count second time around meh .

Who would have picked Foreman, who was a hard punching novice, against Smokin Joe after he had just won the biggest fight in history?
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
