5 more days and I can honestly say that this is the best evenly matched and anticipated fight for a long time.

I will happily give kovalev the praise he deserves if he beats Ward and the winner is easily pound for pound in my opinion.

Hopefully Ward will win and put on a masterful display of boxing which is what I expect...

However, I'd love to see him against Usyk, who I rate really highly.
When Kov beats ward, Stevenson and Beterbiev he can go up an dominate Cruiserweight.
You think Kovalev would beat Usyk? SMDH

I hope that fight comes to fruition so you can see how wrong you are.

You are right he could not beat Usyk never mind Bellew.

I think people are underestimating the enormity of wards task

kovalev is an outstanding fighter, he stays in the pocket and is very accurate and punches very hard and very often

and ward has fought no one for 4 years or what ever, including fighting absolutely no one for a long period of that time

I just cant see ward winning

I know people will say I told you so if he does mind

Dunno about Usyk, but Kov would beat Bellew every day of the week and twice on Sundays, even if Bellew came in at 18 Stone!

Size shouldn't really come into it. Although Ward was a SMW , in the Amateurs he was a LHW , and I think at his age he is a proper out and out LHW Now.

This is a huge task for Ward but it's as simple as doing exactly what he always does..if he just sticks to boxing in exactly the same way and stays out of the battles he wins the decision.

I've only seen usyk fight once (which was last fight that he won the title) and he looked pretty good. I haven't seen him enough to make a real fair judgment I'll admit, but i think it's pretty obvious that kovalev is better, but is just smaller. The biggest question is if his power moves up well with him or not. If it does, I think he beats usyk. If not, he probably doesn't because he won't be able to throw usyk off of his game plan.

Look at the body language when Ward refused to shake kovolev hand...

Kovalev is facing something new in Ward...there will be no quit in him.

Complete kudos for Ward taking this fight..Sunday morning we will know exactly who the best pound for pound is...

They are talking it up, but much excitement in the undercard. Interesting to see if Stevens is still improving after that change of trainer, but should be a walk in the park for him.

Win or lose, Ward will go back into hibernation and resurface in the ring in 2018.

    The aftermath has happened..

Very close fight but if I'm being honest I expected kovalev to get the decision and Ward perhaps get better in the rematch.

Ward has to give kovalev the rematch and now that Ward has figured kovalev out I see Ward doing a better job this time..

Close fight...but in my heart I had kovalev the winner..perhaps I need to watch it again tomorrow.

We know the result guys..let's talk about what happens next?
