I'm not into hockey, nor am I into the NBA, so it's the NFL playoffs for me.

Wild-card weekend is over, and the following teams won:

Houston Texans beat the Oakland Raiders

Seattle Seahawks beat the Detroit Lions

Pittsburgh Steelers beat the Miami Dolphins (YAY!!!)

Green Bay Packers beat the New York Giants (YAY!!!)


Next week it's the Divisional Playoffs, with.....

the Houston Texans visiting the New England Patriots

the Pittsburgh Steelers visiting the Kansas City Chiefs

the Green Bay Packers visiting the Dallas Cowboys

the Seattle Seahawks visiting the Atlanta Falcons

The Atlanta Falcons manhandled the Seattle Seahawks in impressive fashion! Nobody had much noticed the Falcons, but they've sure made everyone notice now.

15 point lead with 12 minutes to go. I think I can finally relax. Now if the Steelers win tomorrow night, my football weekend will have been extremely successful. But the Pats had better play better next week, or they're toast.

If there's such a thing as a "2nd favorite team", that would be the Patriots for me. I just admire the sustained excellence Belicheck (Mr. Personality) and Brady have put together over the years. Of course, my favorite team is the Pittsburgh Steelers. Conquerors of the Dallas Cowboys in two Super Bowls, and owners of more SB rings than any other franchise.
