Maybe Hughie has had second thoughts and thinks it is too soon for him.

Or Peter can't get a Visa or maybe UKAD.

I don't believe a single thing that Peter Fury says anymore, already expecting the excuses for why Hughie can't take this fight.

It's a joke if he doesn't take it, he only has a name because of his cousin. Swerving AJ and Wilder is understandable and the excuses about time and money could have been kosher, but this time they don't have no money or preperation excuses. You'd think they'd be jumping at the chance, a "world" title shot against a beatable, virtual novice. Certainly the weakest link of the "champions."

Ill reserve judgement just yet as looking at the boxingscene story Duco events haven't even finalised a venue yet. I'm wondering if they have bitten off more than they can chew and finding they can't really afford to put it on in New Zealand. Peter has said he's waiting for the contract to be sent back and if there is no venue yet that would make sense because that would have to be on the contract. He tagged Duco Events in on that statement so they have a right to reply if it's bullshit.

I have to agree. we can all summise, but let's see if the deadline comes and goes. when we have the full facts, it's easier to have an opinion.

    Warren announced they've just signed.

Lost the April 1st date as they took to long to sign.

They had no excuses about venues, they lost the purse bid, they either wanted the fight or not. Hence the WBO publically putting them on a deadline

If you are signing a contract for a fight things like a venue have to be on there. If the venue isn't then they can't say stuff like changing room provision etc either. Would you sign a contract that didn't tell you all you need to know so fight night you can be fucked around? Peter is a shrewd man. It was down to him that all Wlads usual tricks weren't allowed to go on and his fighter won THE heavyweight title in Germany. You may not want to hear or believe what he has to say but the man is proven at what he does.

Yeah, yeah, but the hold up was from their end, they had a contract, hence the WBO giving the ultimatum. They wouldn't have had a leg to stand on if they pulled out.

I have no doubt Peter is a shrewd, ruthless cunt behind closed doors not to be fucked with.

right, so I guess Fury has signed. Sounds like his team are just taking the piss, and playing on Team Parker's inexperience. I don't have a problem with that. you have to get every advantage you can , especially as the away fighter.
But if you live by the sword.......If he loses , I don't want hear any dirty tricks accusations , spiked food or any other such nonsense.

The date looks to have moved to 6 May. Rumors of Hughie & Tyson's failed drug tests could shelve it altogether.

You think they would have sorted the drug testing results before they announced any fight? Silly if they have not.

Not sure how it works. I think they had to sign or lose the opportunity. The UKAD has been taking their sweet as* time. The conspiracy theorist in me feels that if any ban was handed down it would be taking from the time of Hughie's last fight. If they've moved the date to May 6 that will be over a year.

So Hughie's UKAD hearing will now take place after the Parker fight? I don't see how Parker's team and all the bodies involved can be alright with this.

Maybe they see it as a double defence, if Hughie wins the title then they can hope he fails his hearing and the title becomes vacant.
