I just ordered a watch on eBay. One a 1944 omega and an eighties movada I've had no problems on eBay but you never know

Yup I'm very pleased. Sales went through and watches have been sent. Should have them by March 2nd. It's a very nice looking movada but it is a cheaper model. It is all stainless steel with Roman numerals. The omega is 1944 military watch. Both are windup. I like the winding movement I feel involved in time when I wind my watch

@Master I understand people look at expensive watches as excess but I find there engineering to be amazing. I also collect watches, my next purchase will be a 50's Hamilton which is American made

Fair enough I bought an expensive watch for my 40th and can only really wear it on special occasions.

I've got a £40 police watch, looks alright and it tells me the time.

I wear a watch 20 years old everyday and have only had to replace the battery and strap is still fine. Cost £30.

Yes my everyday watch is a stainless steel bulova. It's twenty years old and I never had a problem with it.

I gave up on watches years ago as the time is everywhere now. Just more on a shiny decoration now. That and I always broke them at work
