On a rating system out of 5; what are some of your top rated fighters?
For example guys like Mikey Garcia & Lomachenko I'd rated up there, something like 4.7 maybe 4.8. Sort of like a P4P rating but out of 5.

You are a tough marker Garcia was flawless in his last fight and I would have given him 5.
Loma would be the same.
Do not let success go to your head and do not let failure get to your heart.
On behalf of Ross I would like to nominate Tyson Fury
As far as I'm concerned unless there is a fighter who's attack, power defense, footwork, head movement, punch variety etc etc etc is 100% perfect then they can't be a 5 star fighter in the way that we are talking.
On the same note the fact that Loma for example has been beaten shouldn't stop him from achieving the ever impressive 5 star rating as boxers can improve, on that basis you would have to say that Wilder (who has obvious flaws) is a 5 star fighter because he has stopped all but one of his opponents.
I want to hear what PK has to say about this 5 star business, I agree with him.
I was thinking like old boxing video games that had an overall rating for a fighter out of 100.
The way I see it , only 1 fighter, or at best one fighter per division can get a 5 star rating . A loss doesn't stop someone getting the 5 star rating, BUT a loss does mean that a fighter could NEVER be called unbeatable.
That's more about facts and the English language rather than boxing opinion.
I'd give fighters like Ray Robinson and Joe Louis (and many more) 5 Stars
Yeah they lost but these guys were having 12/15 even 20 (SRR) fights per year
Robinson Lost only 1 pro fight in over 130 which is incredible and that loss was to another legend Jake Lamotta.
Makes no difference to me if a fighter has loses, Ali and Lennox Lewis are two other great fighters who both lost more than once.
Some people will naturally only give a fighter 5 stars if he's undefeated (Marciano, Mayweather etc) but turn it on it's head and think that Robinson went on an unbeaten run of fights which nearly DOUBLES Marcianos entire list of fights and that Robinson also had more fights in a 4 year period than Floyd had in a 20 year period and then went on to fight Another 150 times
So hard to compare old school fighters to todays fighters
