Default Adrien Broner is done as an elite fighter!

That was the worst fight I have ever seen him in. He threw little to no punches. He had no zeal. He either threw this fight, woefully unprepared or just at the end of his career.

We need not see Adrien Broner anymore as an A-Side fighter, or the headliner. He is now the guy who you beat on the way to better.

    Adios, Adrien!

There's a glaring omission in your thinking. Try considrering Garcia is much better than him. Weight, size, strength, speed, power - all irrelevant if your opponent is much more skilled, a natural, born throwing punches.

How good was Broner really? Before the 'W' against Ponce DeLeon I always felt he lost to a guy named Quintero.

broner was never really an elite fighter to start with... he is good and has some talent but he just never got himself to that elite level, he lost badly to maidana and porter, that's not elite, he made his reputation beating guys like gavin rees, good boxers but clearly below elite level.. Broner was a bit of a fraud to start with and got away with it by doing a poor mans(ha ha cause it;s all about money :S) mayweather impersonation..(mayweather is also crap at trash talk btw, and broner is worse than floyd)

Broner missed his flight to that town. His claim will be 4 time champ in a day when we give out trophies for hot dog eating contests. Style over substance

The Broner hype went ballistic when he left Litzau lifeless (pretty sure it was a big fight undercard?). Nothing draws the crowds in quicker than a sicko highlight reel sparko that can be replayed over and over again

Garcia was just too skilled for him. It was always about Broner getting lucky with being bigger and landing something or Garcia just outworking him. It was predictable. Broner is an ESPN kind of fighter at this stage. A test for anyone wanting a shot in the top 10 and about it.

I just watched a UFC title fight. 25 minutes, less than 50 strikes landed by both fighters combined. That's with no time on the mat. One round they landed 5 strikes COMBINED. Just dreadful

Broner has always had major flaws. He seemed to rely solely on talent and not skill. He never seemed completely dedicated. I think that if Broner had dedicated himself to the sport, then he would have been an elite fighter.

Broner had a good run at lightweight, but not so much at welter. I told everyone that Garcia was way too skilled for Broner and that he would easily win.

Pretty sure that everyone agreed with you as well.

Litzau was a good looking stoppage, I've just took a look and he was 21 at the time, the fight was on the Canello v Rhodes undercard

I have to be honest here, I thought Broner was going to give Garcia a really tough fight, and had a great chance to pull off the upset. Not that Garcia is great, just that Adrian is a talented guy, bigger, and put the training in fir this one. I also expected Broner's Achilles heel to be his style vs physical, stronger guys like Maidana and Porter (where Mikey is a technician in the ring).

Mikey is such a brilliant technician in there, and I honestly feel like Broner beats a lot of other fighters in that fight. I don't see this being the end for Broner, UNLESS the mental impact of coming in at his best and being completely dominated ruins his confidence. The guy is tough, physically and mentally, and is too talented to not be at the elite level.

Never rated him as one of the elite or thought that he might join the elite.

Broner did well for himself by talking himself into good fights and made more money than he normally would have IF he wasn't so slick on his mouth and mirrored Floyd. I think Broner will be happy with his career at the end of the day, and he is a testament to guys with above average skill levels adding CLEVER marketing to his routine. That clever marketing gave him the extra $250,000 on his pay-stub for every fight.
