Default Joe Joyce-Ian Lewison / Friday Night, Dave TV / Lomachenko style debut

For a debut this is an interesting one. Lewison is a dangerous puncher, however, he's also a fat "no heart in the game" waster. Haye, as Joyce's promoter, is setting the bar high although at Joyce's age they've obviously decided to not mess about (quickly see whether they sink or swim).

For a giant Joyce was a weirdo, non-hitter pressure fighter as an amateur.

I'm intrigued to see what @Master thinks of this promotion.

    Did not know about this.

Poor promotion but the more they do of this the better.

It will save boxing and bring it back to the masses where it belongs.

Hang on a minute? poor Promotion?? I've seen loads of ads with David Haye advertising it, whereas I never saw one for George Groves's ITV PPV.
anyway, so you applaud David Haye for bringing Boxing back to the masses and saving the Sport?

This is such an awful card. Mucha v O'Donnell was supposed to be on it but looks like it fell through.

At 31 Im not sure what Joyce will offer in the pros. My guess is try to rack up a few wins before getting sacrificed to Joshua for a payday. I wouldnt be surprised if he struggles tonight. Jumping to 12 is very difficult and it took 10 for Whyte to get rid of Lewison. If Joyce doesnt get rid of him early he could easily gas.

The video of usyk schooling Joyce is on YouTube. That was at superheavyweight and it appeared joe was being hurt by a guy who's now a cruiserweight. Not sure if this equates to lewison having a punchers chance tonight. I don't expect it to go that long once joe stars finding his range

Its very hard to know when fighting a pudding like that but I think he looked very open and lacked punching power. If he fights anyone half decent like that they will land punches far too easily. Cant see him stepping up for a long time though.

Joyce looks like a upright statue boxing. He has a good jab but not very fluid. Joyce wins first round.

Joyce did better to win 2nd round with better boxing. There is hope for him.

    Lewison will be stopped
