Wish Cotto woulda won, but Ali is a class act and good boxer. Best I could give Cotto was a draw as I felt he did enough to outwork Ali in the 12th, but I can’t complain at all with a close Ali win. Cotto fought the best and gave us a lot of thrills. Thank you to him.

If Cotto won I think he would have tried to fight again so it was best he lost.

    That was the correct result.

Cotto was hurt a few times before the injury.

He could possibly have another fight but what's the point if he has enough in the bank..cotto has taken enough punishment in his career so he made the right choice.

I’ve realized that Cotto is the first fighter that I have watched his career from beginning to end (well beginning as in when he was still up and coming). Cotto started his career as I started really getting into boxing and has lasted a long time.

And by witnessing a whole career I mean a long and HOF career. I guess I’ve seen Ward through his whole career but it didn’t seem that long because of his layoffs.

Cotto is obviously lying, it was Manny Pac and that was a far better fight.

His fights with Clottey and Mosley fights could have gone either way in my opinion.

    Cotto was badass.

The first fight with Margarito was amazing but truly upsetting for many reasons.

Given the circumstances, I'm glad the judges did the right thing and awarded the decision to Ali. Heaven knows we've gotten more than our share of lousy decisions over the years. Cotto absolutely doing the right thing by retiring. He's been in more wars than many, and doesn't need to keep fighting to prove anything. Age comes to us all, only faster in boxing. Good luck to him in the future, whatever his plans are.
