10 inches and the wild wind does not help.

Safer to stay in when you are my age.

Oh no ten inches is a good amount here as well. We get a couple feet (24)inches and more at times but 10 inches keeps me in for everything but work. Miles also has ten inches which keeps me in. Last storm we had 48 inch drifts on my driveway it was brutal, I have a long drive way took me 8hrs to clear

It's odd, we had a nor'easter here which are normally the type of storm that causes blizzards but with the temp staying above 35 degrees Fahrenheit we got six inches of rain in one day. High winds killed 5 people by falling trees

We now have the problem of burst pipes and people without water in some parts.

In 2016 the city water pipes broke four times on my block and since then three people on the street, including me, had to replace hot water heaters because they were filled with sludge.

Oh snap grey they can be costly especially if oil or gas heated, the elective ones are easy to replace. If it was proven the sludge came from the city line are they liable to help defray the cost of replacement. I never heard of a case like that.

Mine is electric and it is easy to replace, other than having several inches of sludge even after draining and weighing a ton.

Another nor'easter coming this week here in New England. Only supposed to be 12" this time so doesn't sound too bad

It is now spring time in Montana. I can tell because when we got six inches of snow a couple of days ago, it was very wet snow. It has been upper 30s, low 40s since then.
