Just saw this now and he has entered rehab for alcohol and 'abuse' of unknown drugs. He refused to take a post fight test after the Arroyo loss and the WBCs grand puba Mauricio Sulaiman has opted to temporarily suspend him and strip him of all rankings. Can't help but be skeptical about a test that never happened fresh off the heels of Canelo being suspended. If it was strictly for refusing to comply with testing why throw in his personal problems with the bottle and how fame and money lead to temptations as cause? Just a little odd. Anyone who's seen Cuadras fight knows his back looks like the face of your standard High school Freshman .

How is testing an option still? Didn't realize that. Hate to say that's the first thing I thought of when they mentioned he was going in for rehab. But zero test? Smells very funny.

If the man has substance abuse problems then so does his family and hope he gets help. Cannot recall many guys suspended for boozing.

That's my read on it as far as cover. The wbc initial release sites 'Cuadras was not tested prior or after his last fight and the issue refers to alleged consumption of recreational substances'. In the suspension nothing is said of refusing a test but glosses over with his history with wbc and how they support him entirely. Wouldn't shock me if they conveniently lost a test that would have been Canelo all over again. Guess you can only blame the cow so many times .
