Haye should have tweaked his style many years ago but those two plums he fought in his comeback fights gave him false hope..

David Haye sold his legacy in the last 2 fights. We might not have known that he had deteriorated so badly, BUT HE DID! everybody knows their own body.
Haye knew this, but still had to take the money, that’s how desperate he was. He needed the money and he sold his soul to get the money.
This desperation leads me to one thought. He’s earnt megabucks and he’s had to come back.
That avenue of earning is now over. So over the next 5 or 10 years , his lifestyle is going to make him leech money, he’ll make some bad business decisions and at the end of that he won’t have the safety blanket of making a comeback. Guaranteed he will end up SKINT!!!
I don’t say this with any joy, a few years ago , I thought the World of him, but he is so so far away from that, and he shouldn’t even be trying to fight.

I’m the same. Big fan a few years back.

Steve Bunce got it spot on when saying Haye realised he didn’t have another ten rounds in him after second round and then just stopped caring.

I have a bit more respect for a Bellew after this fight who alnowledged all this from the get go and afterwars rather than make out he beat a peak Haye.

Haye will end up skint. Maybe he’ll get a couple of ok pay days against the likes of Price and Hughie Fury but he’ll be there only because he needs to be.

Sad to see if that happens.
