Default Brendan Ingle dead: Legendary boxing trainer passes away aged 77

Boxing trainer Brendan Ingle has died at the age of 77.
A former professional boxer himself with a record of 19-14, Dublin-born Ingle went on to train four world champions, including Johnny Nelson and Naseem Hamed.
He passed away in his sleep early this morning, at Royal Hallamshire hospital.
“On this one occasion I am using social media to inform people a good, good man has left this earth today,” Nelson wrote on Instagram on Friday.
“A good friend. A good father figure. And the best trainer in the world.”

    RIP Brendan.

I had a chance chat with him on radio years ago. I was randomly checking for the footy scores on radio and stumbled across BBC Sheffield and heard his voice they asked a boxing question and invited people to call in and answer. I was on the radio chatting with him & won johnny nelson fight tickets. What a shame we have lost another great man from boxing community.

Ingle trained Bomber Graham and Naz.

Dean Francis was a quality boxer thought he could have had a shot at Joe Calzaghe
