Default Anthony Joshua v Alexander Povetkin

Hearing this is AJ's next fight and likely to be in September in the UK, Will Joshua just use his size and reach advantage and box his way to another points victory or will he go for the KO after seeing David Price buzz him recently?

I think he will use his size, reach and box him as too much on the line now.

AJ will win this with ease. It must be a mandatory but Povetkin got shook up by David Price and is not the force he was when he fought Wlad which was many years ago.

I will just guess that Povetkin fails another drug test before this fight happens and AJ has to fight Manuel Charr or Fres Oquendo or some shit.

I wanted Povetkin to accomplish something in the division, but it's been sad really to see him struggle.

AJ will have a 7-8 inch reach advantage, 4-5 inches in height and be huge all round physically, does the world want to see a Parker style "safety first" performance that puts people to sleep.

If he wants to start winning over the US audience and make the Wilder fight as big as possible across the pond he needs to go back to what he does best which is knocking these fuckers out and putting on a show for the paying fans he claims to hold so dearly

Povetkin at age 39 is past his prime.

He'd still be a tough fight for most heavyweights, but Joshua is too strong and will become the first to stop Povetkin.

Joshua people are very smart. Take 2 or 3 safe fights then take on Wilder. Joshua is better than Wilder but still needs 2 or 3 more fights. With only 2 or 3 month between fights. He has to stay busy and sharp.

Be interested to see if in fact he can keep it smart and just box. I know a small circle of Stateside AJ fans that weren't all that thrilled with the Parker fight or letting him back in a bit and setting up off jab half the time. Will AJ over compensate to keep up to Wilder bluster or just do work. People want monsters at heavyweight and that's a little shortsighted but if you wanna box and 'just win tonight and look great down the road' then at least be consistent with the jab and set up. Povetkin is not explosive but he will come to fight. I just hope Joshua isn't getting his head to high in the clouds and full of himself.

I think his trainer said to Joshua before the start of the fight to go the distance and pace yourself. Going to points against an undefeated young fighter in a unification is not a bad thing for AJ's development.

AJ will be more aggressive against Povetkin.

if not Wilder I think this one could be quite interesting.

AJ won't want him going 12 and Povetkin in last chance saloon will go for it I reckon. I don't think AJ will have this all his own way.

Povetkin has seen better days, I think he puts up a decent challenge tho until AJ takes him out.

Povetkin looked like trash against Price, no reason to expect him to turn back the clock
