AJ is the face of DAZN and it's main aim is to crack the US market first which means bringing AJ over to fight there.
These fights surely have to be Prime Time in the US to give their top boy maximum exposure.
Gonna be interesting to see how Hearn handles this, does he piss off the UK fans making us tune in to see our home fighter at silly o clock in the morning to give the best chance of viewing figures in the US, think he's gonna have to.

If it's the right fight I don't think it would piss the UK fans off at all, they've shown in the past that they are more than willing to travel in order to show their support and a lot of people see staying up to watch a PPV fight as a bit of a novelty.

Bit thin on the ground though decent US Heavyweights, Wilder is huge and people will tune in at 4am in the UK but who next?
Is Miller gonna do anywhere near those numbers - no chance.
Then it's a rematch with Whyte or a fight with Fury and that's when Hearns in a tricky spot.
2 UK fighters fighting at 4am to satisfy the US market?
They are stadium fights in the UK but.... If doable 80,000 at Wembley at 4am would be mental 😁
I remember being at the MEN for Calzaghe v Lacy which started around 2-3am.
Everyone was shitfaced by midnight 😂

Wembley is on a curfew, every event needs to be done and dusted by 11pm, otherwise you can't even stage the event.

Those dark days of British boxing having to pander to American TV are long gone. That was the Warren days. Calzaghe-Lacy sold 8000 tickets (which is nothing now), was non-PPV (ITV) which made Lacy's money from Showtime (American TV) valuable enough for Frank to shit on the British fans.

The game is up if you ever see Matchroom/SKY do a British PPV event on American primetime.
    3-Time SADDO PREDICTION COMP CHAMPION.

Yeah I remember the MEN was little over half full for JC v Lacy, I think with the recent Fox/Showtime competition Hearn/DAZN are gonna have to get AJ out to the US and they'll have to put him on US Primetime just to compete and remember with Haymons new venture it's gonna be difficult for Hearn to showcase AJ without a clash of fights.
It's already obvious that our yank friends will make it as difficult as possible for Hearn to succeed Stateside.
Hearns got his work cut Big Time.
With the new Haymon deal ready to go I just don't see DAZN pulling in loads of viewers (from scratch) unless they fully pimp the main man in the stable which is Joshua and get him fighting on Primetime US slots.

Like every country @Fenster your job is to entertain the US. Don’t get it twisted this “long gone” stuff will soon pass

Anthony Joshua is a big stupid oak tree that will get chopped down like Michael Grant got shot down and like Andrew golota got shot down he is just a big stupid oak tree and we'll get chopped down the way Frank Bruno got chopped down. Anthony Joshua is just all shoulders and height and bodybuilding shape and nothing more.

You seem envious and bitter that the belts at Heavyweight have been scarce on US soil for a long time now and largely held by Brits and a Ukranian.
Tyson, Holyfield etc are long gone get over it.

You’re both complete morons, albeit for different reasons, and everyone with a clue knows this.

@smashup I don't care about which country the fighters are from as long as they're good and Tony Joshua is a big pile of donkey doo doo.

If you think that Wilder is huge in the UK, what figures do you base that on? His best ever UK viewing figures will be against Fury, then he will go back to low level 'opponents' in the US and be begging for a shot against fury/Joshua/whyte etc. Name any previous wilder fight that has achieved more than 10k viewers ppv in the uk, he's lucky to get that many youtube viewers from this country!

After Fury sparks hype job Wilder there will be limited UK interest in stateside HW fights, however if Hearn has an interest US locally he can pick up with decent UK fighters against local ex football players until a new breed of true boxers comes thru from the US, may be good for the sport.

Little Tony Joshua is a punk. Wow he's fighting a 38 year old. What a great accomplishment this will really show who Joshua is. All the idiots in Wembley will think it is a great accomplishment if little Tony gets taken 12 rounds by 38 year old in the Twilight of his career

Joshua is a bum a mannequin a robot a stiff Frank Bruno like Punk who will get sparked buy both Wilder and fury

    Default Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua is so horribly susceptible to the overhand right and rights to the body that I cannot see him lasting more than six minutes with Deontay Wilder.

Anthony Joshua is the most tentative heavyweight champion I have ever seen fight with the possible exception of John Ruiz

Lackluster doesn't even begin to describe Anthony Joshua

He will gets speared through the chin by a right hand from Deontay Wilder and it will be good Night Irene. It is as clear as day if someone as small as povetkin in height and reach and weight can Pierce through Anthony Joshua's God so easily and so often then somebody like Deontay Wilder should be able to smoke this guy in 2 rounds

after watching the Anthony Joshua vs povetkin fight it is safe to say that almost any heavyweight champion over the past 50 years could whip Anthony Joshua and I am including even Leon Spinks

I have watched the fight three times already and I have never seen a worse left jab or a worse right hand on a heavyweight champion then Anthony Joshua
