It is a natural next fight but think Canelo will not fancy facing awkward gobby skillful southpaw so may take a swerve and fight someone a lot easier.

If Canelo had his way he would not want another hard fight against Golovkin either.

Canelo v Floyd would be worthy for many reasons.

If he got sparked out cold by a limited but brutal puncher it would be quite funny. Anyone can have an iron chin until they don't see the bus coming. Watch Canelo in round 10. Don't get me wrong that is one hell of a chin and he may not get bandy legs but that was not the same stopping power he could get caught with. Unlikely, unless he loses concentration and after two wars I think Lemieux could be a banana skin.

I highly doubt Lemieux beats Canelo. Lemieux is decent but fighters like Lemieux always end up loses when they get bullied. Lemieux could shock us but I doubt it.

You're not going to be happy then, it seems like de la Hoya is planning for a December fight with alvarez and lemieux :S........ it wouldn't be so bad if Saunders hadn't make lemieux look terrible last year .. if it happens at least everyone is back.in action soon and can move on after that :S

Canelo only fights May and Sept nowadays.

Alvarez has already beaten Lara and Trout. And both were much better fighters than Saunders. I can see Saunders lasting the whole 12 if he fights his usual wack ass style of fighting. But I can't see him being competitive. Much less winning
